Lions Day in Buckingham Park June 3rd 2018
Once again Sothwick Camera Club were pleasd to participate in the Adur East Lions Donkey Derby Day. And was please to have a visit from our President Tim Loughton MP.

We had a successful day at the Regnum Crouch PDI Competition coming second with 138,  Steyning first scoring 144. Well done to all those who had entries in this competition.



Surrey Photographic Association club PDI Competition

Saturday 12th May 

Southwick entered the SPA PDI competition for the first time and gained a credible

6th place out of 27 clubs.



Inter-club with Worthing CC
On Tuesday 13th Feb we met with Worthing who hosted the Worthing v  Southwick PDI club competition .
The scores are as follows:-
Development group was won by Worthing  275 Southwick 269
Advanced group was won by Southwick  273 Worthing 255
And the total score was a win for Southwick 542 Worthing 530
Thank you Worthing for a good evening and we look forward to a re-match next year.

Club Photo shoot at British Wildlife Centre.
Members enjoyed a bright but bracing day at the centre.
the Red Squirrels did show but then had a duvet day whilst the Otters demonstrated their water skills and showed of their new cubs.

Coffee Morning at Tilgate Park Tuesday 30 January.
The club had a good meet at the park and toured the zoo.

It is with regret we have to inform everyone that Bill Wisden, a founder and Honorary Member of our camera club, passed away on Saturday  20th January 2018.
Bill was an inspiration and friend to many photographers and has had a long and distinguished association with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).  A short obituary can be found on the RPS website at:

Photo Shoot 14th January 2018
After visiting the Chichester Camera Club exhibition, Southwick members went on a photo shoot at Itchinor,  baring in mind "there is no bad light" we still managed to get some interesting images.

Southwick Community Centre Christmas 2017 Saturday 2nd December
The Club held a photographic Exhibition in support of the Southwick Community Centre Christmas fund raising event. We had many of the public giving positive comments on the members images.

The Club Munki is available to club members for hire.
The Munki is a device for recalibrating computer monitors including Laptops.
